Introducing OverLip Blush™, an upgraded evolution of traditional lip blush designed to subtly enhance and extend the natural lip shape for a softer, fuller, and more balanced appearance.
Unlike conventional lip embroidery that focuses only on colour, OverLip Blush™ incorporates advanced lip-shaping techniques to gently refine the lip border within a safe enhancement range of approximately 1–2mm. The result is a more harmonious, youthful, and elegant lip appearance without looking harsh or overdone.
At The Brow & Beauty Boutique, every lip design is fully customized according to the client’s facial proportions, natural lip anatomy, symmetry, and desired aesthetic outcome.

The final healed results are designed to look soft, elegant, and naturally flattering — never harsh or overly tattooed.

Process & What To Expect
Your OverLip Blush Journey
A refined lip blush experience designed to enhance natural colour, improve symmetry and softly define the lip shape within a safe, natural-looking range.
Consultation & Consent
We begin with a consent form, lip condition review and discussion of your desired lip colour, shape and overall finish.
Lip Analysis & Mapping
Your artist assesses lip tone, border definition, symmetry and proportions before mapping a soft, balanced OverLip shape.
Colour Selection
A suitable pigment shade is selected based on your natural lip colour, skin undertone and preferred healed result.
Numbing Application
A topical anaesthetic is applied to keep the procedure as comfortable as possible before the embroidery begins.
OverLip Blush Procedure
Pigment is gently layered into the lips while the border is refined subtly to create a fuller, softer and more symmetrical appearance.
Aftercare Guidance
Your artist will explain the healing process and provide aftercare instructions to support even colour healing and retention.
Healing & Aftercare
Your Lip Blush Healing Journey
After your OverLip Blush™ or Nano Lip Blush procedure, mild swelling, tenderness or dryness may occur. This is normal and usually settles quickly. Proper aftercare is important to help the colour heal evenly, retain beautifully and stabilise over time.
Early Healing & Care
Your lips may appear brighter, more intense or slightly swollen immediately after the procedure. This is part of the normal healing process and usually settles within a few hours to a few days.
For the first 3 days, gently apply saline water using a cotton pad on the lips for 1 – 2 minutes, wipe it off carefully, then apply a thin layer of healing cream. Repeat this 3 times daily.
Moisture & Protection
From Day 4 onwards, regularly apply a thin layer of Vaseline or the recommended balm to keep the lips moisturised and prevent excessive dryness.
Do not pick, peel, scratch or rub the lips. Allow any dryness or light flaking to shed naturally so the pigment can settle evenly.
What To Avoid
Avoid spicy food, seafood and “heaty” foods for at least 1 week. Avoid very hot drinks, and use a straw where possible to reduce contact with the lips.
Avoid alcohol and do not apply lipstick, lip tint or strong lip products for 2 weeks. Keep the lips clean, moisturised and protected during this period.
Colour Softening
During the peeling or lightening phase, the lip colour may appear very light, especially around Day 4 or Day 5. This is normal and does not mean the colour has disappeared.
The colour will gradually deepen and stabilise as the lips continue to heal. Full healing can take approximately 1.5 to 2.5 months.
Touch-Up Session
Touch-ups can only be done after 2 months from the initial procedure, as the lips require sufficient time to fully heal before additional pigment is added.
During the touch-up session, we will assess colour retention, refine uneven areas and enhance the final result where needed.
Colour Longevity
Generally, lip blush can last between 2 to 5 years, depending on the colour density chosen, skin condition, lifestyle habits and individual pigment retention.
For softer, more natural colours, maintenance touch-ups may be recommended over time to keep the lips looking fresh and balanced.
OverLip Blush FAQ
Everything You Need to Know
OverLip Blush™ is an advanced lip blush upgrade designed to softly enhance the natural lip shape, improve symmetry and create fuller-looking lips while keeping the final result natural, elegant and refined.
OverLip Blush™ is an upgraded lip blush technique that combines soft lip colour enhancement with subtle lip shape refinement. Instead of only adding colour to the lips, the technique gently enhances the lip border within a safe range to create a softer, fuller and more balanced-looking lip shape.
Normal lip blush focuses mainly on improving lip colour, freshness and tone. OverLip Blush™ goes one step further by also refining the lip outline, improving symmetry and softly extending the visual lip shape where suitable. It is ideal for clients who want both colour enhancement and subtle shape improvement.
Yes. The goal is not to create an obvious “overdrawn” lip look. OverLip Blush™ is designed to look soft, seamless and naturally fuller. The extension is done gradually and delicately so the healed result blends with your natural lip tone and facial features.
The lip shape is only enhanced within a safe and natural-looking range, usually around 1 to 2mm depending on the client’s natural lip border, skin condition and suitability. The aim is to improve balance and fullness without making the lips look artificial.
Yes. OverLip Blush™ can create the visual illusion of fuller lips by softly enhancing the lip border, improving definition and balancing the overall lip shape. However, it does not add physical volume like lip fillers. The result is more natural and subtle.
Yes. One of the key benefits of OverLip Blush™ is symmetry enhancement. The artist will assess your natural lip shape and carefully refine areas where the lip border appears uneven, unbalanced or less defined.
For suitable clients, subtle enhancement of the upper lip border may help visually reduce the appearance of a longer philtrum. This is done carefully and only within a natural-looking range so the lips remain elegant and proportionate.
OverLip Blush™ is suitable for clients with blurred lip borders, uneven lip shape, mild asymmetry, pale lips or lips that appear smaller than desired. It is also ideal for clients who want a naturally fuller-looking lip effect without injectables.
Clients with very dark lips, strong uneven pigmentation or complex colour concerns may be more suitable for Advanced Lip Color Correction instead. During consultation, we will assess whether Nano Lip Blush, OverLip Blush™ or Advanced Lip Color Correction is more appropriate.
Most clients experience little to no swelling. For clients who do swell, it is usually mild and temporary, typically settling within a few hours. Our technique is designed to keep the procedure as comfortable and gentle as possible.
Yes. Most clients can return to normal daily activities shortly after the procedure. The lips may appear brighter at first, but this will soften as they heal. Proper aftercare should still be followed for the best colour retention.
Avoid spicy food, seafood, “heaty” foods, alcohol, very hot drinks, swimming, saunas and lipstick during the early healing period. You should also avoid picking, rubbing, kissing or applying friction to the lips while they are healing.
Touch-ups can only be done after 2 months from the initial procedure, as the lips need enough time to fully heal and for the colour to stabilise. The touch-up allows us to refine the colour, balance and final result.
Lip blush results can generally last between 2 to 5 years, depending on the colour density chosen, lifestyle, aftercare, skin condition and individual pigment retention. Softer colours may require maintenance earlier than deeper shades.
We do not recommend lip embroidery during pregnancy. Hormonal changes may affect sensitivity, healing and pigment retention. As a precaution, it is best to wait until after pregnancy and consult a healthcare professional if unsure.
