Just Got Your Brows or Lips Done? Here’s How to Heal Right

You finally did it—got your brows, lips, or eyeliner done! But now comes the part most people forget to plan for: the healing process.

At The Brow & Beauty Boutique, we don’t just focus on the procedure. We make sure you’re equipped to heal well, protect your results, and avoid the common mistakes that ruin your investment.

Here’s everything you need to know to make the most out of your semi-permanent treatment.

What Happens After Your Session?

Right after your brow, lip, or eyeliner treatment, your skin needs time to recover and settle the pigment. Here’s what’s normal:

  • Mild swelling or tenderness

  • Darker colour tone that will fade and soften over the next 7–10 days

  • Peeling or flaking around Day 4–7

  • Slight itchiness as your skin heals

Don’t worry—this is all part of the process. But your aftercare will determine how well your pigment stays and how clean your final look turns out.

Your Aftercare Basics (Don’t Skip These)

  • No touching or picking the scabs, no matter how tempting

  • Avoid water, sweat, and makeup in the area for the first few days

  • Apply your healing balm as advised (we’ll give you one!)

  • Stay out of the sun and saunas for at least a week

  • Avoid strong skincare products like acids, retinols, or scrubs near the treated area

🧴 What Can Help Speed Up Healing?

Some of our clients like to support their recovery and pigment setting with these gentle, skin-rebuilding services from La Dermalogique:

These are perfect a few weeks after healing, when you’re ready to refresh and glow up further.

💡 Your Healing Process Is Just as Important as the Procedure

The best work can be undone with poor aftercare. We’ve seen it happen. But with a bit of patience and the right support, your new brows, lips, or liner will heal evenly, naturally, and beautifully.
