5 Simple Skincare Tips Before Your Eyebrow Embroidery Appointment

Getting brow embroidery soon?
You’ve picked your artist, chosen your shape… but what about your skin?

At The Brow & Beauty Boutique, we always tell clients: healthy, prepped skin gives better results. These 5 tips will help your new brows heal faster, look more defined, and last longer.

1. Stop Exfoliating (At Least 3–5 Days Before)

No scrubs, no acids, no retinol. These products:

  • Thin the skin

  • Make it more sensitive

  • Could cause irritation during embroidery

Switch to a gentle cleanser and let your skin rest.

2. Keep Your Skin Hydrated

Dry skin = patchy pigment.

Use a lightweight, non-greasy moisturiser twice a day, especially on the brow area. Hydrated skin holds pigment better and heals faster.

3. Avoid the Sun

Sunburned or tanned skin is a big no before any semi-permanent makeup. UV exposure increases risk of sensitivity, fading, and poor pigment take.

Avoid direct sun and skip tanning beds or beach days for at least a week before your appointment.

4. No Botox, Peels, or Lasers

Avoid these for at least 2 weeks before your appointment:

  • Botox or fillers

  • Chemical peels

  • Laser facials

These treatments change your skin’s structure and may affect how the pigment settles.

5. Prep With a Skin-Supporting Facial

Want brows that heal cleanly and evenly?
Start with one of these La Dermalogique facials:

Book your facial 5–7 days before embroidery for best results.

💡 It’s Not Just the Artist—It’s the Skin Too

We’ll create your dream brows—but your skin is the canvas.
The better the prep, the better the results.
